Your tasks
- Development of new technologies and innovative product concepts in the field of joining technologies through industrial research, technology scouting, and collaboration with external partners
- Design, planning, and execution of feasibility studies, test series, and experimental investigations to evaluate new technologies and applications
- Working independently and taking on work packages in national and international research and development projects
- Coordinating and managing activities within externally funded and cross-organizational research collaborations
- Documentation, presentation, and communication of technical results to internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting strategic technology development by analyzing technology trends, patents, and intellectual property rights, as well as contributing to technology and investment decisions
- Eventually assuming technical responsibility for technology topics in the field of materials and metallurgy, as well as supervising student projects
Your profile
- A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a comparable field
- Initial professional experience in research and development, product development, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering in an industrial setting is a plus
- A solid technical understanding with a focus on electrical engineering, as well as an interest in interdisciplinary issues
- Enthusiasm for new technologies, innovation processes, and technical research
- A structured and independent work style, as well as a strong hands-on mindset
- Experience in designing and conducting experiments, as well as in analyzing and interpreting technical data
- Knowledge of simulation, measurement, or development tools is a plus
- Good communication skills and a passion for collaborating in interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
