Your tasks

  • Independent responsibility for the development of new LAPP products in the field of connection and control cables, including design, material selection, risk assessment, and development support through to product launch
  • Product development responsibility for products made of cross-linked plastics and fluoropolymers in the high-temperature range for specialty applications
  • Preparation of technical specifications and technical data as part of new product development and throughout the product lifecycle
  • Technical communication and coordination with relevant national and international stakeholders in product development, production, purchasing, laboratory/testing, and other departments to ensure an efficient new product development process
  • Coordinating the entire initial sampling and certification process for LAPP products in the field of connection and control cables in collaboration with the team
  • Evaluating electrical factors and interrelationships for cable design by applying knowledge of national and international standards

Your profile

  • A successfully completed degree in engineering or business (Master’s / Dipl./Bachelor’s) and/or a completed advanced technical training program or comparable qualification
  • Strong technical understanding in the fields of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, ideally with experience in the area of connection and control cables
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable field is desirable4
  • High degree of initiative, commitment, sense of responsibility, determination, and flexibility
  • Strong motivation to work independently and to develop new solutions using digital methods, e.g., data-level automation or AI tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Openness to international collaboration and a passion for actively working in intercultural and international teams
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office
