Your tasks
- Carrying out physical and electrical tests, artificial ageing, environmental tests and chemical tests on cables and wires
- Preparation of laboratory reports and technical documentation
- Support with laboratory projects
- Cooperation with our own production facilities
- Processing technical complaints
- Responsibility for coordinating calibrations and maintenance of test equipment, as well as checking and approving calibration certificates
- Support in determining and checking the measurement uncertainty of the test equipment in the area of responsibility
- Support in the selection and procurement of new test equipment
Your profile
- Successfully completed training in the field of electrical engineering, physics or chemistry, such as materials tester (m/f/d), CTA, PhyTA or comparable
- Initial experience in laboratory operations and with measuring physical quantities
- Knowledge of plastics is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, ability to work in a team, high level of commitment and flexibility
- Independent and structured way of working
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (technical English)
- Practiced handling of Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Experience with national and international standards (e.g. VDE, UL) desirable
- Confident handling of calibration certificates is an advantage
